Taiwan Semiconductor Co., Ltd. (TSC), was founded in January 1979, which specializes in manufacturing rectifiers. Continuing with a commitment to expansion, the firm established two plants in China, Yangxin and Tianjin successfully in 1995 and 1996. These factories have achieved a rectifier production capacity of 1.7 billion units each years, making TSC one of the major rectifier manufacturers in the global market. In January of 1991 if started developing thermo-sensitive bar code printers with mass production ensuing the succeeding year. By 1994, TSC became the largest bar code printer producer of its kind in Taiwan, producing eighty thousand sets annually. In June 1997, the first set of D2T2 video printers in Taiwan was successfully presented. Exemplary to this endeavor, TSC will continue its evolution as a diversified operation.
